Chapter Eleven: Nice Game of Hide-In-Go-Seek?
“Hey, Alex,” I could barely hear the voice of whoever was saying my name, my head was throbbing with pain, I grumbled and slowly opened up my eyes, my vision was blurry, I blinked a few times before it became clear again, I jumped and gasped seeing the hooded creature directly in front of me, even though I couldn’t see his eyes I could tell he was staring at me intensely. From instinct reached for my waist, grabbing my handgun but, it wasn’t there, I felt around my other side of the waist but there wasn’t one there either. I was defenseless. I glared at the Hunter. I looked around my surroundings, we were sitting upon a fire escape on some apartments, and we were a few floors above the ground but still in the air none-the-less. I glanced around some and saw my weapons sitting on the window seal. I looked back at the Hunter.
I knew it was Josh, it was easy to tell, for many reason’s 1)he wasn’t ripping my ribs out and eating my flesh. 2)he was just staring at me, just STARING. I stared back at him, “Where’s Fred?” I asked suddenly, I didn’t blink, or change my expression, I now thanked the times I would spend talking to myself in the mirror.
“Who?” Josh asked tilting his hooded head to the side, confused.
“Oh,” cough, cough, “Him?” I looked up and saw Shane leaning against the stairs of the fire escape, I glared at him, my fists clenching and unclenching. I watched as Shane picked at something between his teeth, I then quickly panicked. Looking back at Josh, I slowly pulled my legs closer to my chest before launching them out into his midsection, throwing him off balance. I quickly got up and grabbed my shot gun. I aimed it perfectly at Shane.
“Alex, don’t!” I heard Josh yell as he stood up quickly.
“What? You don’t think I’d do it?” I asked cocking the gun as the barrel was in perfect alignment with Shane’s head. He just stared down it I could tell he was questioning whether I would do it. Truth be told, I was too. “I’ll ask once more, where’s Fred?”
Shane didn’t say anything he lowered his hand and I could barely see a small piece of flesh between his teeth, “YOU BASTARD!” I cried out loudly and pulled the trigger.
After that it seemed like everything was moving in slow motion. The shell shot out the gun and went perfectly into Shane’s head, right between the eyes. His head popped and blood splattered everywhere, his body fell limply and lifelessly to the ground, like a pile of dirty clothes, I didn’t lower the gun it only stayed aimed to where Shane use to stand. Josh was staring at me, in shock, I don’t blame him, I was shocked to. I had questioned whether or not I could, none the less would, kill someone else. And the answer to that question was.
Yes.
Yes, I would.
I looked around and noticed that Josh wasn’t there anymore. I looked up the fire escape and saw him, he was crawling up the stairs, up to the roof. “Get back here!” I shouted at him, I grabbed my handguns and put them back in on my waist, with the shotgun strapped to my back I quickly hurried up the stairs after him. I reached for a handgun and tried to shot at him but he seemed to be too far ahead. I cursed under my breath, and for some reason the small spazzy, ghetto, epic, part of my brain added some cool, rap chase scene background music to what was going on. (What the hell?)
When I had finally caught up to Josh he was standing on the roof, we stared at each other for a long time, I was panting and out of breath. “Alex, why did you kill Shane?” Josh asked it was a simple question.
I had pulled out a handgun and was aiming it at Josh, “B-because,” I started to say, the gun shaking in my hand, “He ate Fred. A-and Fred was my friend.” I said and a few tears fell from my eyes.
I closed my eyes tightly then felt myself being pinned to the ground I opened them widely and stared at Josh, his hood casting the perfect shadow over his face. I laid there waiting for him to do something. Anything! But, he didn’t move not once, it felt weird having him staring at me, just staring. Not saying, or moving, it seemed like he was… Dead? (Well, technically…) I was about to go crazy and start rolling around punching and kicking but I didn’t have time to before I heard Josh screech in pain and roll off of me, gripping his side.
I sat up quickly and looked around to see where the bullet had come from, and gasped seeing Fred. I quickly got up and ran over to him, throwing my arms around him I hugged him tightly, “Fred!” I shouted happily.
“H-hey, Alex,” he said and lightly patted my back I pulled back and looked at him, and smiled again.
“A-Agh,” I turned and saw Josh on his hands and knees still gripping his side.
“Are you okay?” Fred asked and grabbed my arm, pulling me back to him and examining me, making sure I was okay.
“Uh, y-yeah.” I said and nodded some a little creped out I turned back and looked over at Josh. I must admit, I am a little sorry for him. Now that I know Fred is alive.
Josh slowly stood up and I could feel him glaring at me even though his hood was still safely pulled over his head, Fred picked back up his gun and was about to start shooting at him, “No!” I shouted and slapped the barrel away from Josh into the air.
“What is it?” Fred asked as he looked at him.
“That’s him! That’s Josh.” I told Fred and I watched as his expression changed from the hunter to the sorry-for-shooting-my-friend-in-the-rib expression.

"GHETTO RAP MUSIC FOR THE WIN!!"
Lmao.

HERE IT IS!!
CHAPTER 11!!
I'm still writing and shit right now because I'm so close to the ending!!
I could have ended it in this chapter but I was like... "Eh." so like probably in the next one or something. Then a few after that with an epilogue or something.
Now, I'm sure you're like, "Wth?"
Let me explain.
I was talking Iggy, (Damn I do that a lot. :|) and I was like, "I'M LISTENING TO RAP!" and she was all, "....... Now I wanna listen to rap."
And we got into the rap discussion about Lil John. :|
But she sent me this song (Here if you want to listen to it: [link] helps with the reading of the chapter I guess.) and while I was writing I was listening to it and for some reason I thought this song was like the BEST music for a chase scene. XD wth?
So, I like, put it in there. XD
As for the chapter title, I come up with them after I get done writing them and I couldn't think of a good one for this chapter so I was like, "FUCK IT! IT'S GONNA BE SOME GHETTO HIDE-IN-GO-SEEK!!" XD lmao.

I do not own Left 4 Dead or the Hunter. Sadly.
